For the first time in a long time I'm actually trying to pull rank and being manager. I am scheduled to work Christmas Eve from 9 - 1:00 (this being the 5 xmas eve in a row I've worked.) I was SOOO excited to get out of there by 1:00 because normally I'm out at 6:00 on the Eve and I show up at my families and everyone is drunk already. Lovely. ( Read more... )

He'll heal. He's in highschool and doesn't really want to spend that time with his family anyway. At worst, he might develop a mistrust of authority in general, and this is healthy for a highschool student, don't you think?

I say good for you! Managing is not a popularity contest. Sometimes you have to pull rank. Authority should have its privileges. You shouldn't feel bad about not having to do the crappy hours as if you were an entry level employee. Don't worry about it. Just eat, drink, and be Molly!

I'm glad to see you getting use out of the icons!
