As you may have read in my comments from my original post, Shaun found my new lj and found out about Dave. We had a long talk early this morning and I gave him closure. He told me he wasn't fully attracted to me anymore because I've gotten fat, that really hurt. I knew it was the case and I'm glad he was honest. It's just I feel so ugly now. He ( Read more... )

You did the right thing. I'm somehow clueless to who Dave is but the anon. LJ entries left by Shaun is unacceptable and shows how desperate he is to put the blame on you then quickly apologize afterwards.

That kind of hot/cold burst of replies is unacceptable and sounded like what most of my ex's have left on my own journal (hence why it is locked to friends only). Only time will heal all emotional wounds and as much as I want you to be happy, for the time being take the break one step at a time.

Yes, I remember. I'm still alive in LJ, not posting in LFA because I'm too tired to catch up several months of missed entries. I'll be posting in a month or so since I'll be taking maternity leave from work at the end of April.

I'm doing fine. I'm 6.5 months pregnant and still very busy at work, which doesn't leave me with alot of energy left to stare at a monitor after work or on my days off (do enough of that already in my job). Still waiting on my husband's paperwork (now in Buffalo, NY instead of Missisauga, ON) and my husband is still in VT. :(

I don't know what exactly this post was all about but it sounds like Shaun (the one who called you fat, right?) clearly said that in some form of retaliation, he probably didn't mean it at all.

Dumping someone is never easy; and going back to give them closure is more difficult.

But it shows that you are the better person and that you cared enough to make the effort. Love on occasion, is selfish; to be happy, you must look out for your own happiness first.

Be strong, believe you did the right thing.
