Travel This Summer

Well, it looks as though I'm not doing much in regards to *actual* traveling this summer. While this bums me out, this does not mean that I will have to miss out on some fantastic places. Why? Because I have set a goal to read twenty books this summer. I have cut off summer at August 14th. I'm not exactly sure why, but I have. Luckily, this ( Read more... )

Oh, I so wanna read An Arsonist's Guide! It looked entertaining. Let me know how it is whenever you get to it. I might just pick it up this weekend for the hell of it.

I know, right? I'd been eying it at one of Miami's bookstores for the longest time, and one day it was like "Hey, I'm only $3 now. BUY ME!" So, I did. Then, I went to Starbucks where the barista told me that I may want to seek help.

I will definitely let you know...I might read it after the one I just started...I just finished my fourth and am starting my fifth tonight, so...Arsonist's Guide will most likely be my sixth. I'm so excited!!

How's Wichita treatin' ya?

It's been great so far! Nice and warm (mid 80's, low humidity), great people (the interns and Kansans - everyone's just so friendly, which is unusual), and work seems like it's going to be great. I just started on Friday, but the first half of the day was orientation. There are LOTS of planes out here (I work right next door to an Air Force Base, and my apartment complex is in the flight pattern), so it's not dull at all, to say the least. (That was longer than I intended.)

How has your summer been?

Well, I'm jealous! I mean, I can't really complain about the weather here, it's been beautiful! But I wish I was doing something right now...this is why I've already read roughly 4.3108 books (no, I swear I didn't use a calculator for that estimate O:) )

My family's been busy (they still have work and school and the Navy), and I've been...doing nothing. Wow, this took a seriously depressing turn. Seriously, I'm happy you're having a good time! I'll have to catch up on your blog soon...I've been lax on my blog reading since I've actually started reading all the books I've bought over the past year. :\
