Fustrated by an inability to remember names.

I really don't know how to make myself better at names.

I've just started watching 'Lie to Me'. I started watching it because I read a cool Doctor Who/Lie to Me crossover and wanted to see who the characters were. God, I have exactly the same problem. It's infuriating. I don't know what to do about it either. Recently, I've tried all the recommended "tricks" but they just don't stick; it really is better if I force myself to use the name, though, so I try to do that, especially in email.

I totally get that with people. It creeps them out that I remember off the cuff personal details about their lives.
Of course, I suspect a little of that is training - I often write case notes well after speaking with a client.

I have similar problems. I can't remember numbers. A string of 6 digits, the first 2 of which are 00 still has me beat. I don't remember names unless I repeat it over and over. I cheat by writing everything down multiple times. That's why I keep notebooks. People think I'm being diligent. I'm not. That's how I remember stuff.
