Anyone who knows anything about fake dreadlocks:
Is it cheaper/easier to make your own or buy them from somewhere like ebay?
How long do they stay in?
How do they attach to your hair?

I know I want some, really really do. It would be a great way to have long hair and not fuck up your normal hair, I think that they just weave it in, like a normal hair weave. Have you tried to google it?

Nope, I haven't tried to google it.
The reason I want them is because, like you said, long hair without having to grow it out, and plus you can have some crazy bright red color without damaging your hair because of the bleaching. And also, dreads make your hair look so much fuller and my hair is so straight and limp. :(

Yeah, I want black ones, I know my hair is black, but I think they look so hot. Yum. But then I have also had the urge to shave my hair off and have like a fawk hawk or something.... :P

Umm.

It's way easier to order them as opposed to buying the hair and making them.

Making them takes HOURS. And is tricky and the hair is often expensive to buy in bulk. Cos you'll need loads of it to make a full head of dreads.

You can buy them off of people who make them I guess, but you'll need to install them if there isn't somebody nearby to do it for you.

Look on the fake hair communities for tips and instructions, there are many tutorials on how to install them yourself and lots of different ways in which to do it for all sorts of different effects.

I'm not sure about how long they stay in. You can tighten them if you've used certain techniques, but hmm.
