Sailormoon is good even if you can't understand it! I remember watching clips of STARS without subtitles and just being like 'WOW THIS IS THE GREATEST SERIES IN MY LIFE.' Of course once I understood what was happening it made things a little better, since I was convinced ChibiChibi was an agent of the Dark Moon. D:

er eragon is based on the first book of a trilogy. and they have plans to do the rest, only they might not get to because of less than sterling box offices receipts.

it wasn't low budget, it just looked it. i think they dumped the majority of it on Weta for the dragons and then were trying to look hip with the camera work and ended up looking lame. my $.02.

Good to know! :)) Because if that was a one-shot, the movie-makers needed to be shot. Dratted cliffhangers. And the kid was kind of a dumb, arrogant dick. I didn't see his character evolve much, just his power levels. Being smacked around by Jeremy Irons with a stick for three minutes does not a noble warrior make. :P

The story itself had a lot of promise (since I bet the books are 110% better), but I just wasn't wowed. If they do another, hopefully they learn from their mistakes.

um, these are the books that kid wrote. you know, there was a big hoopla about this 17yr old boy making it to the best sellers list back some yrs ago? he's 20 something now i think.

i've not read the books. they're really popular. some say yeah read them! and others say you can tell a young male read them and they aren't much better than the movie.

personally i can see them having heavy slash potential. i'm hoping the main character isn't quite so annoying in the books themselves, and was just vapid because he's a newcomer (who should have been left behind as far as i can see).

That explains the casting, then. :P I doubt a young heterosexual such as himself would indulge us with slash, but if it's his book to begin with and he has any control over casting, I expect he would have chosen the prettiest boys in town. :D

Hahaha, you know what they say about opinions! :)) I don't think I will be able to tear myself away from HP fanfiction long enough to read something in book form in the near future, but if I have a lengthy plane ride ahead of me, maybe I'll give the book a try. :-?

Ah yes, Sailor Moon. I adored that show. I was even Sailor Jupiter one halloween in elementary school...i'll scan the pic if i can find it :P Oh....have you seen the live action version?

I would have been, but for the fact that my fat ass would look completely ridiculous in a short sailor skirt. :P It's a good thing I was on eBay buying SM things other than cosplay costumes, or else I may have frightened people. I've seen pictures of the live action shows, but never the real thing! I wonder if I could find that online. . . .

idk what she didn't like in particular...i think it just may be because she was expecting the movie to be really good and she was highly upset when the movie wasn't what she expected.
