I heard on the news this morning that there are wildfires in six of the seven Bay Area counties in Florida. Pinellas, which is where I live, is the exception. However, one would think we have them because of all the smoke blackening our sky this morning. What an awful drive to work. Wow. I know you live in Florida...but when I think early May, I'm not thinking wildfires. That seems unusual even for Sunny F-L-A.

Then again, I'm not really that experienced with the weather patterns of Pinellas, believe it or not.

LOL! I can't believe you don't know our weather patterns. I thought you knew everything! ;)

We had a very dry winter this year. Our rainfall is wayyyy down. There is a lot of scrubland in Florida, believe it or not. And anytime you have dry conditions in the lightning capital of the world, wildfires are a concern.

I've lived here almost 23 years, and I think this is the worst fire season I've ever seen.

I've been good. I took an LJ hiatus after my work started cracking down on "internet abuse". But, as it turns out, this is being covered in a separate post by you. See, I can multitask too!
