I heard on the news this morning that there are wildfires in six of the seven Bay Area counties in Florida. Pinellas, which is where I live, is the exception. However, one would think we have them because of all the smoke blackening our sky this morning. What an awful drive to work. Visibility is limited from all the smoke, breathing is a chore and

Wow. I know you live in Florida...but when I think early May, I'm not thinking wildfires. That seems unusual even for Sunny F-L-A.

Then again, I'm not really that experienced with the weather patterns of Pinellas, believe it or not.

LOL! I can't believe you don't know our weather patterns. I thought you knew everything! ;)

We had a very dry winter this year. Our rainfall is wayyyy down. There is a lot of scrubland in Florida, believe it or not. And anytime you have dry conditions in the lightning capital of the world, wildfires are a concern.

I've lived here almost 23 years, and I think this is the worst fire season I've ever seen.
