It not only makes the person you bought the coffee for feel good, it makes you feel good too. A win-win :)

That is nice...but how does one go about paying for an unknown size and variety of caffeinated beverage??

By the time I pick up my drink, the people behind me have normally ordered. So you just tell the counter person you'd like to pay for the order behind you. (Unless it's for a whole office or something).
I've done that at fast food places before. :)

Thats really nice... I wish more people would commit random acts of senseless kindness in this world!

She certainly made my day! It WOULD be nice if more people looked outside themselves and did thoughtful things like that more often. :)

A really simple one that I/Iain do a lot round here is to give our pay-and-display parking tickets to the next person in, or we leave them on the ticket machine so that someone gets free parking.

Last time we were in London, when we were queuing for Underground tickets, a couple gave us their day tickets because they were heading out of London and didn't need them anymore. We did the same thing as we left. It was amazing to see the look on this couple's faces as they realised that we were doing something for them and didn't expect anything in return and there was no catch.

What a great idea! It's a wonderful feeling to see the expression on someones face when they receive a gift like that. :)

The only good thing that ever came out of my hometwon -besides yours truly- was the creation the Random Acts of Kindness movement by Chuck Wall.
