Does anyone know how to make a webcam work?

Not for talking to someone like on skype, but where it takes a picture every x-seconds and then uploads it to a webpage?

I have a webcam (somewhere - I bought three of them when I went to NZ, gave two away and kept the third one - I don't think I've ever plugged it in) and web space.

There are many programs of varying degrees of quality and usefulness for doing that. Visit versiontracker.com for some options.

Years ago, I had a webcam that came with software that would take a "snap" periodically (You set the time) and write a jpg to a file.

I wrote a small java app that uploaded the photo every now and then to my webspace. Don't ask me how, as it was almost 10 years ago now!
