State of the Art

It's been a while since I wrote about art. This isn't because nothing's been happening - far from it - I've been quite busy, but whilst some time has been spent battering away at canvas (and occasionally even good ol' Bristol board) mostly it's been in my head, because I think there's some stuff going on in there that's pretty key as well. Picasso's Guernica is one of my favourite paintings.

Picasso was also a very outspoken critic of General Franco as well - one of the 20th centuries biggest monsters, IMHO.

I agree with the other comment, the enthusiasm is uplifting and you sound like you're getting places and developing well. Maybe I should inject some of it into my writing!

Keep on plugging away - you can't hold it all in your head at once and in my view there's no point in trying!

There's a lot to learn about every discipline and I think we've all felt overwhelmed by it sometimes. I think the trick is to let what you've learned inform - rather than direct - what you're doing. How you do that is anyone's guess!

I agree (too) about the enthusiasm!
