Squeeeeeee!!! Ageing team-fic - they grow old together! I love the scars they know (and the ones they don't), and how everybody secretly moves John in, but most especially I love how real everyone is here - Teyla's hair, Ronon reading, Rodney doing a face-plant on the bed. Reading this was like slipping underwater without first remembering to hold my breath. Wow.

One typo - In the fourth section, first sentence, you have make due instead of make do.

I think it would be great if you posted a link to this on team_sga. It would be awesome if everyone got to read it.

Thank you so much. I'll definitely post over there. I'll have to fix that typo later. My work computer has decided that I cannot edit fo some reason, but thanks for pointing that out.

I just sort of liked the idea of Rodney, Teyla and Ronon having this connection that John somehow can't reach, simply because he won't let himself but in true team fashion, they drew him in despite himself.

Oh, then you definitely want to be reading Let Us Go Then, You and I by Sage. It is exactly what you describe re: John, only with a little more angsting and wandering along the way.

I liked that the team became a family, with some undertones but the final scene of them growing old and relaxing together watching a movie was perfect.

Gracias. There are a lot of details that I felt were extraneous to the fic. I wanted to keep it as close to the snapshots in my head as possible, but still, a little more actual story snuck in there too. But it wasn't about the sex, you're right. I find the intimacy between them much more dynamic anyway.

Oh, how lovely. Love the loss and the hurts and the angsty passing of time before everyone just ends up where they obviously need to be. In the penthouse, clearly.

The loss and then regaining of comfort is *lovely*.

Every fandom should have a penthouse. *sigh*

Zomg, you combined my two most favorite things in all the fandom: cut-off-from-Earth fic and team-love fic! And the wonderfulness is SQUARED! I love this, the shatteringly clear moments that stand out in memory, and all the years that slide away into life with someone else -- someones else? Whatever. It's glorious.

Also, they should have that penthouse. They DESERVE that penthouse.

LOL, thank you. I've been slowly moving from McShep love to Team love and I also really love cut off from earth fics though I didn't know this was until I wrote it.

Also, there have to be penthouses somewhere on Atlantis. HAVE TO OMG! I don't care how advanced you are, alien penthouse suites are a universal constant. Plus, Ancients had to reproduce a little here and there. Not every family fits into an efficiency. ;)

In my heart, I know there are OTHER BEDS in Atlantis. Yes, the Ancients were kinda fucked in the head, but no race is so insane that they can come up with a civilization that can't conceive of the double bed, you know? Likewise with suite apartments.

I was actually trying to remember, but wasn't Cadman's bed a double? I think it was.
