I learned after 3 weeks of struggling to even stay online, and taking 15 minutes to get a page loaded, and then getting kicked offline before I got to read it, that it wasn't my modem after all that was the problem. My computer kept connecting slower and slower till it refused to connect at all. At the same time, my phone had started to do weird
