Dreams

Recently I've been having some rather odd dreams (can't imagine why, what with all the sickness I've been having!) and there were two that I felt like post - mostly because they're the only ones I remember...

The first was several weeks ago and I just kept forgetting to post it and the other one was just Saturday night so here goes!

Cara, from The Sword of Truth series, was my friend and wanted to become a more "normal" member of society. There was some function going on (surprisingly enough in the Covenant Chapel basement) and she wanted to attend and be presentable. She wanted to wear a dress and get her hair cut short! So we went shopping before hand and got her a nice dress - not TOO frilly but more than I thought she would like - and took her to the hair salon. She wanted to chop off ALL her hair as a symbol of leaving her old life behind. For some reason the stylist decided she'd look nice in curls..... I didn't agree but Cara liked it and it was as short as she wanted so what was I to say to a Mord Sith?! Anyway, as it got closer to the event she was getting more and more nervous - thinking people wouldn't like her and make fun of her. She didn't back out though and when the time came she marched into the basement with pride. Unfortunately, everyone stared at her!! She insisted they explain themselves and there was a lot of stuttering and heming and hawing - not a good thing to happen. Luckily for them, instead of lashing out, she ran to the bathroom! I went with her and tried to console her.... She was quite angry and broke the mirror but settled down when I tried to explain that they were just surprised and didn't know what to say. At about that time we heard a ruccus outside the bathroom followed by a cry for help. Cara stuck her head out to see what the problem was and was confronted by the sight of Erin Ward (a real person from High School!) being held by the neck and threatened by this monster of a man. Cara jumped into action and had the guy pinned to the floor and begging for mercy in about 3 seconds - all with Erin not receiving even a scratch. After that, Cara was very warmly received by everyone at the event!

Matt, Andrew, Kate and I were all visiting someone, somewhere, that had a lovely home. (Don't know who or where as the owners never made it into the dream!) It was Sunday morning and the four of us were waiting on Mom to show up for church. I thought I heard her car pull up but then we never saw her come inside. I asked everyone else if they had heard Mom and no one had, so we just figured it was some other car elsewhere. Several minutes went by and I decided to go have a look to see if it was her car or not.... it was.... I let everyone know Mom's car was parked on the street but that I didn't see her anywhere. Kate decided it would be best if we went to look for her. I checked the basement in case she was doing laundry - she wasn't. Andrew and Matt checked the various bathrooms and upper levels. Kate came down and reminded me to check the "extra-basement" (basically a dungeon below the normal basement) - but she wasn't there either. We all met up in the living room and reported our findings (or lack there of). I think it was Matt that suggested that maybe she had gone to the wrong house, since this was her first time coming out this way. We all decided that probably wasn't the case due to all our cars being in the driveway. At this point about 7 minutes had gone by since I first heard her pull up - she defintely should have shown herself by then! All of a sudden I shouted out, "THE POOL!" and ran to the backyard, everyone in tow. I saw her music piled up on a chair and quickly ran to the edge of the pool.... there in the middle at the bottom was Mom in her Sunday Suit!!... I dove in immediately but didn't make it all the way down to get here - I had to come back up for air and try again. On the second attempt I got her and pulled her to the surface. Andrew and Matt helped me get her out of the water (as soon as she was out she was bone dry... which was odd!). Anyway, Kate and I started to do CPR and saved her!
