awwww that's so sweet and sad at the same time. My step grandfather is not expected to make it to next week. He's also in a care facility and also has dementia....unfortunately hes so very difficult and crabby I dont think there are many people who work there that will look at him passing on as sad news.
I'm sorry to hear about your step grandfather... but ya know, there are those of us in healthcare that really LIKE the crabby and difficult residents! There is something endearing about them. So don't be surprised if some of the staff are really sad to see him go!
Thanks, as bad as it sounds I'm really not effected by it...I can count the number of times I've seen him in the past five years on one hand even before he was in the home, just because of location and such we only really saw that side of my family at holidays from the time that I was 5 onwards...before then we used to see them quite a bit...so I really dont feel much connection.
none the less its sad when anyone dies, unless they're a vial person so hopefully there are some people who will be sad to see him go
