I like the top view of the swirly three-armed one (the triskelion!) best. It's hard to say which one I like the side view of best.

For sims living in it, would you make a structure based on the clear version of Numenor's wall windows and the transparent floors by RGiles? Or just let the sims endure the seasons? Either sounds interesting.

I like the swirls, too. Unfortunately I didn't think of that ahead of time, so the pattern is a little uneven.

I did not think of seasons at all ... I planned to just enclose the area with an invisible fence. It won't be a single object, either. I plan to seperate it into several levels with a column in the center (it will function as a column). That way it won't obstruct your view when playing either level. :)

I'm not sure I got you right: Would you just put furniture under the dome? Because it's rather meant to provide artificial atmosphere for an actual house under it. It might not be obvious from the pictures, but this dome fills quite exactly a 3x3 lot and is more than five stories high. So you can fit quite a big house into it. In my mind this is for the rich and important space settlers who want all the comfort and greenery from their home world while the workers are housed in bleaker container buildings.

No, I didn't quite get the scale, even with the objects in there to tell me! I thought it was more like half that, so that a middling sized house would fit exactly under it -- like you could get four domes on that size of lot, maybe, if you pushed it. So my question doesn't make sense in context.

I can think of ways to use this in my terrestrial neighborhoods, also. I can't find a good picture, but the California Academy of Sciences has a bunch of domes for its rain forest exhibit, its earthquake and tectonics exhibit, its planetarium, and so on. SO something like that in my downtown would be exciting.

edit: posted too soon -- I meant to say it would be fun to combine it with Ermelind's domes for a modern architectural effect.

I really like variation 1 a lot actually, but all of them are also cool! I'm thinking of making a space garden inside those domes.. that would be really cool. Or a house for space plantsims maybe? I have so much ideas for these!

I love the swirly one best but the other designs are awesome too. I started a new hood for futuristic and it only has summer, but ritaxis' idea of having Sims living inside and exposed to the seasons is interesting. Anyway great stuff again from you. I so want round shapes in my building(s), I hate the limitation of straight lines and boxy shapes, but understand of course why they are like that... I always liked the Unisphere in Flushing in New York. As a child, I had a recurring dream that I was trapped inside the Unisphere and climbing around it like a spider. I am not sure if it was a nightmare or a wonderful vision of the future ;-)
