So...In the middle of working on a set of opening credits for a film I get a virus that bungs up my computer. No boot. Okay fine. I'll do a repair install. Nope. Repair install seems to slow down at 50% to the point of 5 hours + to get even a little further. It was still going...just slow....then it hangs. So fine, I attach it to another

~hug~ :( That sucks. I remember eons ago I was working on something for school and I had accidentally deleted it somehow. I called you in panic and you talked me through getting it back. I was extremely happy and grateful. Maybe cuz you did that for me, the heavens shall be kind to you and you'll get your stuff fixed up at the recovery place no problems. I hope things work out.

Yeah! Bet you didn't think I remembered today is your BIRTHDAY!!! Well I did. I intended to look up your number and phone you today when I had a chance at work cuz it's always nice to get a surprise birthday phone call. However, I only had the Mississauga phone book and can't make 411 calls from work (boo) so I failed my plan. a lot of the data recovery places we work with take a buttload of time to be finished. but, if it is just the IDE you'll be all right. i have some clientys waiting three or four months for these guys to get their shit together though, so smack them in the face with frosted vinegar balls (i assume these would be yours but it really doesnt matter whose they are) and tell them you have a strict deadline and you won't pay if they can't deliver on time.

imho anyways because i have so many people tell me "oh data recovery is taking months i need an extension" anyways
