Yet of my life, found better control.
But now i fight this living hell,
where 2 things fight within this shell.
One is the me that lives like a child,
playful, adventurous, a love for the wild.
One is the me that knows only survival.
To this one, the other is merely a rival.
It knows no concept of times that have passed.
It sees only conflict and resolutions cast.
Every night, they fight bitterly to all possible ends.
Every day, they find a way to curse or heal my health.
The more time goes by, the more I remember my friends.
But the more the time goes by, ..I'm forgetting myself.
Where the darkness is slowing consuming,
its fatal consequence leaves new blooming.
And though I begin to see the hint of new light,
What's left of the old me feels it is not right.
But the new insists that the old is wrong,
And the struggle itself only seems to prolong..
..
..the death of me in some form or another.
..
So here it is, one secret uncovered.
