Apparently people at the Republican National Convention are wearing band-aids with little purple hearts on them to make fun of Kerry. For a bunch of people who supposedly support the military, the neo-cons don't seem to have a problem with also mocking every veteran who got a purple heart for losing an arm or receiving any other serious injury

I found that rather annoying. My Daddy got a Purple Heart 'cause of injuries in VietNam. He was blown out of the back of a truck when it rolled over a land mine.

Yeah, the bandaid gag was in real poor taste. I'm sure that the Republicans lost a few thousand VFW votes with that one.
