Normally I tend to breeze over a lot of the fiction on my flist, but this one caught my eye because of the summary. I'm glad I gave it a read though because this is excellent. It's light-hearted without being saccharine or insignificant - it captures the heart of the show's spirit and the characters in it. Fuu and Jin are perfect, and I love how the tale is spun around the busybody tendencies of the town around them. I'll be interested to see where you go with this. :)
Wow thank you! :] I'm glad it did. I've been reading so many novels where the narration is written around the people around the main characters, I really wanted to give it a try.
Anyway, I am so excited to see some tasty new SC fic!! You have a great sense of the characters -- good narrative voice. I love the opening paragraphs -- they remind me of Manzo the Saw's narration (at least I think that was his name) Yay!
haha thanks! I actually found & started reading through one of your multi-chapter fics as I was procrastinating finishing this off, I really loved the way you portrayed the characters and your style is really fresh, so I'm glad you dug this.
This is great. The characterization is excellent... it's just where I imagine Fuu to be in the future. I also like the little reference to sentimentality - I like that bit in the anime. I'm interested to read some more when it comes...
Thanks! Yeah I love Jin's little aside to Mugen in that scene...and yeah, despite getting kidnapped all the time Fuu's such a strong character, I wanted that to show up in how she's grown up.
