and miles to go before i sleep

I thought that, once I didn't have to go to school anymore and worry about homework and that sort of thing, I might catch a break and have some down time before graduation. Clearly I was wrong. Who knew so much could go into planning a simple graduation party ( Read more... )

I don't even know if I'm having a party lol

Party planning seems so hard, especially when other people start throwing out ideas and you just don't know what to do anymore lol. But I hope you have a good time at your graduation party :)

that sounds like a lot of fun! Where is the houseboat at? Is it by a lake or the beach?

I'd never really thrown a real party before - when I was little and actually did things for my birthday my parents always did the planning because I was too young to know what I was doing lol. It's definitely not my thing, I know that now. Thanks :)

It's at Lake Shasta. It's really nice there, usually pretty warm and sunny (though one year we it rained the whole time we were there).

Aw, I hope you have a splendid time nevertheless. They're totally right, though. You really deserve a nice party, it's your party and you'll only graduate high school once in your life, so you should try to enjoy it as much as you can. Still, maybe you'll have to remind them that it really is your party and no-one else's -- you shouldn't do something you don't feel like.

That sounds quite fun! I hope you'll have a blast. Don't be too pessimistic about not really having a lot of friends this time around. I s'pose that will only lower your chances of becoming friends with someone new, right? :)

Aw man, I also want to go to Disneyland! D:

It should be really fun, just.... more than I expected. I'm so bad at saying no though (or rather sticking my ground) unless it's something I feel strongly about. I don't have strong feelings about much of this party, and my aunt really does, so I've given in to a lot. I am starting to get more excited though, so that's good.

I'm trying to be optimistic! I'm not good at making friends, though, so I'll just have to see what happens. Plus I most likely won't be seeing most of these people again since I'm graduating, but it would be nice to make a new friend if only for the week.

Have you been before? It's one of my favorite places (of the few places I've been lol). :)

Unfortunately there's only Disneyland Paris in Europe. Although I've been to Paris, I've never had the chance to visit Disneyland :/. I don't even really care that much about the rides; I just sort of want to enjoy that ambiance... and wear Mickey Mouse ears while I take pictures with the characters, hehe.
Have you been to Disneyland very often?

Yeah, the rides aren't that exciting, but it's still a really fun place to go because of the feeling of the place - it really is just a happy place.
I went a few times (maybe 3?) when I was younger, two of which I can really remember, and this was my first time going in like seven years.
