I miss her

I sent Romie to the airport today. She'll be away for 5 days this time, a business trip to Taiwan. It's been awhile since the last time we were away from each other, and this is the first time I have to stay home alone. How's the safety in general in your city?

It depends on the area, really. It's always safer to live in an apartment than a house, coz the chances for somebody to break into ur apartment is lower. Most people install grills or bolt their doors to avoid people from breaking into their houses. The place where I live now is considered safe coz it's not very high density. However, there's a construction going on nearby and sometimes you can see these construction workers walking around. Not to say that these construction workers are criminals, but here in KL or many cities in Malaysia, many crime cases are connected/related to foreign workers, and most of them are construction workers. However, so far, I heard no break in cases happen in the area yet, since the security guards always make their rounds and all houses are fully alarmed. So, I guess I have to trust the system, eh?
