I was thinking about this the other day, too, actually (surprise surprise). I wondered what it is about gray skies vs. sunny skies that so greatly affects our moods. Are we brought up to feel that overcast skies are oppressive and maybe even depressive? What is it about a clear blue sky and bright sun that makes just about everyone's mood so much more happier?

I'm like you in that on gray days, I feel less inclined to really do anything. But on a sunny day, I'll clean my entire apartment, cook dinner, go driving, wander along the piers, whatever. But on a day like today, I'll most likely clean only as much as I have to and not really want to do anything except hang out.

In a way, gray days make me stoned, as far as I can understand it. And blue days are adderall. Drugs make everything okay. What am I saying here. What were we talking about? I think my arm is broken. The police are here.

I know exactly what you mean. I've recognized the way weather affects my mood for long time and thought I might even have seasonal depression. On a greater scale, everytime I've ever been really depressed or had a really hard time getting by, it's always been winter. Summer on the other hand, is always my most possitive time of year. I know you know this all already, hahah. I just wanted to comment ( ... )
