Don't think I've ever done the saucepan-full-of-steaming-food thing to that serious a degree, but I did once find myself briefly holding a jamjar full of unexpectedly-burning homemade gunpowder. Also not something I'd recommend.

Where did you go in Ireland?

I have to say, as the steam condensed on strands of facial hair, offering up their latent heat to moribund keratinized cells rather than those making up my philtrum epithelium, I spontaneously became a bigger beard fan than before!
