the holidays were nice, but like everything seems to these days, they made me miss england. i tried to somewhat replicate the best christmas i had at my friend's place in ascott by making a full-blown 'festive' dinner: home-made eggnog, cranberry & goat cheese parcels, stuffed mushrooms, spinach & artichoke dip, 2 types of stuffing, gravy,

i'll tell ya what SAD is - SAD is when you're 8yrs old and you're building a sand castle to try and make some friends at the beach --and you actually do --UNTIL - you're uncle aschot decides to take of his shirt (back/front/side/top/bottom covered in hair) and whips out a large middle eastern rug as a beach towel --and scares this shit outta your new sand castle friends----you wanna play "wheel of pain" P ???- BRING IT ON!!!!! wheel o'pain!!! wearing cute piggy tails to school in an attempt to make friends and having it somewhat work.. that is, before you sit down to have lunch, open up your tupperware container, only to unleash a crazy smell of indian spices onto a bunch of white kids who've never had anything spicier than pepperoni!!! made the whole library (where my lunch hour was held) smell like masala!!

wow---ethnic foods on the wheel o'pain---ok--my uncle aschot (same guy from above) bbq'd bull testicles and told me it was a very special type of KEBAB!!!!! AND--when i worked as an assistant voice over director - i brought in korean food that stunk up the whole studio so badly that they called in security to find out what the smell was because they thought something had DIED! --you better check it, befo you wreck it- BOO BOOP!!! (although the masala story was bad--AAAWWWWW---piggy tails!!!!)

It does seem weird that Chris Isaak is a) still touring, and b) in Edmonton (no offense).

I'm glad you got all those Angel seasons on DVD! My xmas present to you will probably go out today. It's kind of lacking, because I actually didn't buy you much from Engerland ;_; Your bday present will be better! Xmas is lame as hell anyway!

Also, the wedding I'm going to in London next month is a gay wedding and I'm srsly excited! Not that I think it will be any different, but I'm such a fag hag AND I FINALLY get to see two guys get married!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awwwwwww jackie g!!!!! <3 I was like that too when I went out today (first time since you left!). Alllllso, peeya was saying that she misses you, too. There was this girl we spotted at West Ed and peeya was all, "oh, that girl looks like Jackie! I really miss her!!" Icarus misses you, too!!!

I haven't sent out your x'mas peasant yet. I was going to send it to linda's, but the woman at the post office said there was a slight chance it wouldn't make it there by the time you had to come home, so I decided to just send it to mtl! hmph!!
