It's 6:11 a.m. I have to be up at 7:45 so I can leave at 8:30 to be downtown by 9:00 in order to be on time for this training I volunteered to take

My sister and brother both had really bad reactions to medication, and I know it takes time to find one that's right for you.
I like to think of depression like a common cold; it just has to run it's course. And meanwhile, the same way you would stay in bed and drink plenty of liquids to deal with a cold, you have to find ways to help yourself cope with depression, like re-watching a favourite movie, or listening to music that always cheers you up.
I hope you feel better soon; and remember that a lot of us would be quite unhappy if you were no longer in our lives.
Thanks for the comment :) I thought the one I was on was okay, but my doctor doesn't.. I think I'll set her straight when I see her again 'case I feel so off now.
And sorry, I should know not to joke about killing myself - I'm not suicidal at all, so no need to worry there. Thank you, though.
PS. I agree that depression is a lot like an illness. A doctor described it to me like diabetes - for some people, it's something you'll always have and not be able to totally cure, but it's something you'll be able to control with the right medication & lifestyle.
Man, I can't get codeine in Canada without a prescription. Can you get it without one in Australia? I was so surprised when I just handed it to me for cramps when I was in England. Ahem, anyway. I've been being a bit naughty and drinking a bit before bed to try to get to sleep - sometimes it works, but this is how Richey Manic started on the path to alcoholism, so it's not good!!
In Aus you can get low dose codeine over the counter, but higher dose codeine is prescription only (& is still not a very high dose!). Yeah i wish it were like the UK, where you can get liquid codeine over the counter - but it's probably a good thing as I would then be horribly (psychologically) addicted! hehe ;P
Well 1 glass of alcohol a day is actually good for you, so I wouldn't be too concerned! & both alcohol & codeine must be much better than sleeping tablets, that's nasty nasty highly addictive (& in my case, hallucinatory) stuff! :/
