I have to ask- what does "snapping shower floor" mean? Because in my head it's a floor/venus fly trap that eats feet. And that image makes me feel a bit retarded, so I feel I should be corrected.

no, it must be the floorboards under the plastic tub basin in the bathroom, but there's a certain area that makes a loud pop/snap noise when stepped on. i've gotten totally used to it, but it was quite annoying at the start.
