Getting around the 'hood

So, we're on vacation next week. We've already started staking out the hood for amenities. So far, we've become regulars at El Pato Feliz which serves the best EVAR tamales and rellenos. We didn't go in the back dining room. That area might have a little less of the dive patina. But, the front and the sushi bar itself, while obviously nice about 6 years ago, have the tell-tale coat of grease and condiments coupled with the dated decorative items that spell D-I-V-E. The giant painted cardboard signs covering all the windows in the front top it al off.

That said, the quality of the fish and produce is top notch. And I agree, the sushi is delicious. The rice is just perfect and nothing is over seasoned.

Dude, I have eyed that place many a time (my old drive commute used to take me right down Holgate). Thanks for taking the risk of eating there. I can now go there without (much) fear.
