the vacu-vin thing should help extend the storage life, but it's so sugar rich that it has a pretty limited shelf life.

As your lawyer I advise that you consume it all immediately and post photos of the ensuing naked time on the internet.

same as a white wine, yes the vac thing might help (O2 is the biggest problem), keep chilled, and finish the bottle!

To be completely contrary to the other two posts, mead is some pretty durable stuff. I've got some meads that I've re-corked years ago that are still good.

All the same, chilled mead is still the best. And being a commercial mead, all bets are off as to the ingredients - it could end up being nothing more than white wine with honey added (Bunratty mead is exactly this). In that case, treat it like white wine. ^_^

If I may venture a guess, I believe the mead in question is Chaucer's. Is that better than Bunratty?
