Also, she looks like Mme. Ciampa of MLC French infamy. :S Pretty, though, because Mme. Ciampa looks like Carrie-Anne Moss.

Gorgeous! Just love the atmosphere and detailing of this!
So old world and stylish. ♥♥♥

I think you can go two ways for the framing. Either crop the right almost all the way up against the little girl but depriving us of all that gorgeous gorgeous window and roofline or adding on to the left side until the canvas is almost square. So if this is 330px x 600px, I would suggest extending to 450px x 600px if you decide to go that direction. It's still fine as it is, but the balance is a little off from the little girl leaning backwards. She and the woman create a v-shape that draws the eye down to their feet when my eye wants to look at the line from the woman's face down her arm to the little girl. If you add more negative space around the woman, it makes the upper half more of a focal point, I think.

Looking forward to the finished version~ *still starry-eyed over this*

Yes please on the reveal meme!

wow, thanks for the advice *__* I didn't even notice the V-shape, but now that you point it out it's so obvious! I do love that left window, so yeah I'm thinking keep it, and extend the picture on the right side instead. YAY. I KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW. \o/ THANK YOU <33

it'll be a long while before it's finished haha, this thing has been sitting on my hard drive for MONTHS. I need to stop getting distracted by new things >_>

Not having seen the version with wider framing, I'm inclined to say this looks fine. I'm a big fan of close cropping, too, so idk. lolol @ the dubious little child. You want me to go WHERE?

YAY PRESENTATIONS YAY \o/

yeah, I have a tendency to focus a lot on the subjects of a picture, so most of my pics are close-cropped as well XD but this is like.. OMG suddenly I have to worry about composition! WHAT IS THIS. I HAVE TO THINK ABOUT MY PICTURE??

go on, child! don't be scared of the freaky lady who's carrying a parasol around for no reason at all! I mean, not like she's going to STAB you with it. or anything. *cof*
