Yessss on the one hand it's quite nice to walk around in shorts again, but on the other hand I liked being able to curl up in bed. :C This year's been pretty slow for me so I'm glad to see it go, haha. Also don't you have exams soonish (if you're at school/uni?) If so, I don't envy you in the slightest. *shudder*
Pshaw, awkward? That sounds bloody freeing. Then again, I'm probably romanticising it -- anything apart from my current situation sounds like heaven right now. And now I'm curious to know what you're doing instead (apart from writing amazing incredible fics!). What's this I hear about short story anthologies? ;)
Summer in jeans? @_@ The thought is unthinkable. That reminds me though, I def have to buy some new shorts/sandals before proper warm weather kicks in .. which apparently it hasn't, given the disgustingly cold rain we've been having over the past few days :(
OMG TODAY WAS GLORIOUS! So, so lovely. I haven't had the heating on at home for 3 days now, and today I went for a walk outside - in shorts! IT'S WARM ENOUGH TO WEAR SHORTS omg I was in heaven haha. Lol at your wearing three layers of clothing to bed though.

WALK OUTSIDE! What an excellent idea. I mostly spent yesterday chasing the cat around the garden (our grass is so long now it's taller than she is, so whenever she disappears into it I flush her out. endless fun!) I honestly didn't know it was going to be so warm lol. Stupid crazy Melbourne weather.

Phew so it's not just me then. For a few days in the new season I'm usually moping around the house and being horribly unproductive. :) Never been able to shake it off.
Man I've been reading Sherlock fic like craaaazy (SO MUCH GOOD FIC) but I've yet to be able to write/draw anything myself that I like! Can't wait to jump in though

Haha, I always forget that Australia is backwards in its seasons and has spring/summer when we have autumn/winter. But yeah, I get that rush of nostalgia sometimes, but not really with Spring; more with places and music.
ETA: Okay, so I was just having a nosey around your portfolio and master list because I wanted to stare at your art some more, and I just have to say that your art is so incredible. I know I tell you this everytime you post art, but man, you're one of my favourite artists ever. Your talent blows my mind, and one day, I'm going to have to own your stuff. If you're doing commissions any time, I will have to get one from you. I mean not for a while (student loan, when you come through, this is what I'm using you for!), but one day, one day!
Thanks bb! And yeah, I get the same thing with places and music too -- that's why I can't listen to old bands I used to love, because it just feels too weird haha.
Oh you have no idea how much that means to me. ;_; I'm constantly in this place where I can see how far I need to go and it drives me crazy and makes me miserable even as it spurs me onwards, so every now and then someone has to sit me down and say "calm down. look, you're good where you are now, too." So thank you so much, dear. One day -- yes, that distant, nebulous 'one day' XD -- I plan on actually making some printable stuff, and will take up commissions, and network, and do all those arty things I promised myself I would do. So I hope you'll still be around then. ♥
The smell of it! And early summer, too. I love that smell. I don't quite know what it is about it that brings back the waves of nostalgia but it's so sweet. :D

SCIENCE AND PAINTING AND WRITING AND MUSIC BB. YEAH I KNOW I AM CRAZY SOB SOB MAYBE I SHOULD JUST SIGN UP FOR ANIMATION SCHOOL AFTER ALL.
