So this week it seems I get the delights of going home to visit the family estate. Bother. It's not especially good timing to be away for four days, but needs must. Mother's ill, so its only to be expected. Try not to miss me!

I'm sorry to hear your mother is ill. If you like, I can send along a get well package for her from my family. I could add some herbal teas from my home country that might help make her feel better. Ah, and if you're returning home to see your family, please ask them about that idea I suggested with growing some foreign fruits. If they are interested, I'll be happy to supply the seeds and send them with you next time you go back.

That's kind of you, but I don't actually know what's wrong with her this time . She already has a doctor who sees her, so if might be better not to give her anything herbal in case it messes with whatever medicine he's giving her.

I'll ask about the fruits though. I'm sure Etsuko-neesan will be interested.

Ah, in that case, I'll leave the teas out of the care package for now. I can always send them in another one for next time. But please still let me send something along with you to give to her and the rest of your family so I can send my good regards to them~ I do hope you'll be able to figure out what's ailing her though. Perhaps you might want to consider asking someone in the Oshitari family for some advice about it if the problem continues to remain a mystery. They *are* the best family of doctors in the city for a reason.

Thank you, Hajime-kun, I appreciate it~ Though it's a far, far less pressing matter than your mother's health, so if you don't have time to discuss it while you're there, don't worry about. It can be left for another less stressful visit.

Well, if you really want to, of course I'll take a gift from you with me. Although I bet if you ever actually met my mother you'd change your mind. . I'm sure it's nothing too serious. She's been ill on and off for a long time- believe me, we've had all the doctors in. She usually recovers well enough before long.

Oh not to worry at all. And I might as well make the most of the visit, I don't go home very often.
