Or maybe the Case of Charles Detexter Ward. I've always been a fan of The Dreams in the Witch House, although I don't know if that can be rightly called a book.

Read alot of Pratchett, although i've heard of Gaiman I can't recall ever coming across his work.

Actually I have aleady read Animal Farm and have intended to read 1984 and Neuromancer for some time now, same with finishing reading the Dune series (the ones written by Frank Herbert, not the recent spin-off things).
