(I apologize if your story line wasn’t mentioned this time, this post was getting a little long. I promise it’ll be mentioned next time! -Dean)

The White Queen hung up the phone. “He’s going to the New York camp.”
“He’s what?” Raucous had to keep his incredulity down, lest the entire mansion come down. “But he’ll be obliterated! What can Forge do ( Read more... )

Her eyes were so blurred by three days of salt water that she didn't recognise the figure in the boat until the hand was in front of her face, extended to help her in. She saw the square knuckles, the burns on the wrists, the characteristic callous on the inside of the first finger of the right hand, swallowed, and took it ( ... )

But then again, there was a lot of heat from humans on, maybe he was just waiting for a more opportune moment ( ... )

It was like a dream. My adrenaline was on fire. My eyes were glowing brighter than a fish tank. I could sense everyone with my entire being. No one could hide and run without me knowing exactly where they were, where they were going, and where they had been, and how they felt about it. I felt like my soul was on fire. As I drove the cab towards the mutants, I already knew I would never reach them before the helicopter came down. I pulled over onto the curb and watched. One of them, an older man with a very distinctive haircut had some mighty plans of his own. Though the most curious thing was his emotions. They contradicted his thoughts. This is not really possible. A person's emotions directly correlate with what they are truly thinking, hence why I am a walking lie detector. His thoughts were on the helicopter and its destination, but his feelings were of longing, pain, and anger. It was like there were two minds trapped in his body, one smothered by the other. But emotions are always true, the mind can be deceiving. I knew ( ... )
