I breathed a huge sigh of relief today when I found out that Arrested Development - one of the few shows on television that I follow - was not actually cancelled. It was just a rumour

ok, here's the thing!

arrested development's season is being cut short to make room for some new crappy show my the 'family guy' guys. the fear is that fox will never bring AD back! the ratings are not very good even though it is "critically acclaimed". i'm scared. it is suuuch a good show. hilarious!

yeah, it's kindof confusing. but, the fact that it is critically acclaimed makes me worry less. maybe another network would pick it up if Fox dropped the ball.

i watched it for the first time last nite, and to be honest i thought it was good not great but good. david cross' parts are way to far and between, however it was nice to see other past mr.show crew members on the set-- the gay cop and his husband.

its a show i can watch with my parents and as they are laughing out loud, i can smile and think about gary flank's contribution to the pornography world.

well, last night's show wasn't the best one to judge. it was uncharacteristic of the show to have a pseudo-celebrity on. i think elaine from seinfeld kindof ruined the show. i always think writers just create roles for celebrities without really putting much thought into them, because people aren't watching for well developed characters. they already have an idea of what the celebrity is like.

arrested development is normally a really smart comedy. each character is uniquely hilarious.

like the youngest son buster who constantly fights with his mom but has a love interest in his mom's best friend just to piss his mom off (and maybe make her jealous). the other brother is a magician and rides a scooter. david cross speaks for himself. michael is the seemingly normal character but he has the weirdest relationship with his son. he tries to be such a good dad but just ends up being really creepy.
