I was about to make a post endorsing Grindhouse. Alas. I agree on Rodriguez's being better than Tarantino's. Planet Terror was quite possibly one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I think the concept of the double feature and the faux previews was creative, humorous and can be credited to Tarantino but Death Proof just didn't do it for me. It really brought things down from the mood Planet Terror invoked. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to Machete. Sorry for the forum-esque reply.

That's a bummer Sufjan didn't show up. I hate when stuff like that happens. Like, this one time when I was a kid, Daryl Strawberry (former baseball star, current coke addict)was supposed to sign autographs after a Clippers game (they demoted him to triple A.. or whatever you call the Clippers) and he wouldn't come down. I'm still bitter about it. It pretty much crushed my hopes and dreams for life. Anyways, don't let it bring you down, things get better. ::cries::

Yeah, I agree. As a total package, I loved Grindhouse but I thought the dialogue in Death Proof was borderline boring and entirely too drawn out. Like, okay we get it: hot babes talking about scoring pot. Cool. I nearly had a panic attack just waiting for the action to begin. I do give Kurt Russell for his performance as the biggest creepo, slash, badass ever. Also, just thinking about the fake previews: Huge LOL regarding "Thanksgiving."

I guess Sufjan was getting too many HJs in Grand Rapids to meet me. =( =( =( I imagine Darryl failed to show for a similar reason. NEWZ WE CAN BOTH UZE: I guess celebs r ppl too.

It's hard to keep going.
