What I wouldn't give for an interesting cupcake flavor from Chicago right now. I miss the ability to get fantastic cupcakes. It's not that the cupcakes here are bad, it's just that they are very Americana. It's all chocolate or vanilla with icing that is chocolate or vanilla. There's no fresh pear cake with white chocolate buttercream, or dark

You're so sweet. $80 cupcakes seems like way too much to me too, regardless of how good they are. I'm in the camp that says that cupcakes shouldn't be more than $2.00 a pop.
