Keats teaches Techniques and Secrets of Journalistic Success, or just "Journalism" for short, as well as a higher-tier elective class (since I doubt he's swarmed with Journalism students), "Separating Truth from Fiction". These are meant for any student in High School, but he will make appeals for younger students if they show considerable merit, ( Read more... )

Student Name: Badou Nails
Current Year: HS2
Class: Truth
Writing Aptitude: Writing? Poor. But his communication and truth discerning skills are pretty top-notch, so he should be decent at that discussion-oriented part of class. ...Stupidly good at it for his age, really. His tragically dead brother was a journalist which is why he's NOT taking Journalism. 8|b

That's a pretty odd reason to stay out of the field, Keats believes, but to each their own. Sounds like there would be many fun debates to be had, here~

Student Name: Hatate Himekaidou
Current Year: HS2
Class: Journalism and Truth
Writing Aptitude: Good, her writing is filled with facts and statistics but it's also rather lackluster. It reads more like an academic journal rather then a newspaper article.

Also, I haven't asked Aya's mun yet but if it's okay with her Keats could also be the Sponsor for the Journalism club? Granted the two can never agree on anything so an official school newspaper is hardly published but hey, still sounds like something he'd be interested in.

That would be fine! It might take some persuading, but when he sees that no one's actually DOING anything, that will be a pretty big motivator. The only thing worse than shoddy reporting is no reporting at all.

And he'll want her to work on her delivery, of course~

Sweet, I've cleared it with Aya's mun so you can go ahead and add that info to the club directory whenever you have the time.

If you give her tips she'll try to listen but she also values intellectual wording and hates assuming her readers are dumb, so there's that too.

I'll save the rest for any inevitable threads~

Student Name: Haruhi Fujioka
Current Year: HS1
Class: Truth
Writing Aptitude: She's pretty good overall. She's canonly a great and intelligent student even if we...mostly see her in hijinks. Also she wants to be a lawyer so she'll put a lot into a class like this. Though sometimes she can think too literally or sound too dull or practical about things. But she's willing to expand her horizons or at least try to. I think that covers it!

Sounds like she would be a fun student to have discussions with, then. :D
