I've done that shoe-streaking thing, too. I start rummaging around under someone's sink, and I get up and there are streaks all over the kitchen floor. Yikes.

Fortunately, I've been able to buy boots lately that don't streak. I dunno what the difference is, though, so I don't know what to look for. I've just been lucky.

And congratulations and good luck. Everything sounds positive, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

The shoe thing is a quandry - I have a ratty old pair of docs that really aren't presentable given the chunks of shoe sticking out in places they normally shouldn't. I also have a pair of tennis shoes that squeak something fierce on those types of floors, which would immediately culpritize me, so are a no go. And then I've got these black ankle boots that really are the best thing to wear, but only if I remember to pick up my feet properly to avoid all the blackenings...

Thanks for the good wishes! :)
