Fuck

I have just completed a feat (ha!) rivaled only by a portion of the homeless representatives of this fair city.

I walked across the Queensboro Bridge barefoot.

In the pouring rain.

Because the MTA broke.

And I wore the wrongest possible shoes to work.

Fucking city owes me a 'pology.

I think even the homeless would be amazed. There was that homeless guy sitting next to me at a bookstore in DC who was looking at a book about Africa.
"Hey! Look at this!"
"What?"
"Look at these people. They aren't wearing shoes!"
Then he looked down at his feet and up at me.
"Can you believe that? That doesn't make any sense."
"Well, I guess everyone has it different."
At that point he just shook his head.
"No shoes. How?"

I ruined a pair of shoes going home today. I hope you went home and boiled your feet!

If it makes it any better, I was doing the sobriety test thing on the middle white strip, because the pavement was infinitely smoother there...
