Losing Control...Over Our Emotions

I believe it's true when I say that everybody loses their control over their emotions sometimes.

Starting to cry for no reason. Snapping at people a little harder/harsher than you intend to...Sometimes the hold on your emotions just slips away.

This is from my Puckurt fic, so...Yeah.

Somewhere in a military base in Iraq, a very well known man was shaken awake very roughly.

"Wake up. Wake up, you filthy American!"

An Iraqis soldier shouted in broken English and shoved a tray with bread and water in front of the prisoner.

"Breakfast. Eat up. Then I'll take you to the general."

Then the man left the little cell again and the man was left alone, with his very un-tasty looking breakfast tray.

He shivered from the cold and looked down at his shaking hands when he took hold of the bread.

He didn't have a clue how long he had been here...

Days? Months? Years?

He looked down at his wedding ring, stroking it softly with the index finger of his other hand.

It was the only thing he had left that reminded him of his home.

His home in LA. With his husband and 5 year old, who knows how old she might be right now, daughter.

Tears fell down on the bread as he kept on stroking the wedding ring.

Only two words got through between his sobs...

"Kurt... Lizzie..."

I haven't been writing while on vacation because I left the most current version behind!! Also, I'm still thinking about what the rest of the story will look like. In the mean time, have a fight:

Puck's fears are confirmed when she gets to her locker, which has been decorated in bright red sharpie with the word "preggo." The rushing sound in her head won't stop, not even when Dana Karofsky bumps her shoulder and says, "Way to go, slut. We all knew it was only a matter of time."

Puck can't even shout back the, "Fuck you," that's on the tip of her tongue. She can't even swallow. How did anyone find out? How did everyone find out? Rage bubbles up from the pit of her stomach and before she knows what she's doing, Puck takes off after Dana pushing her and then punching her in the mouth.

"It's not fucking true!" Puck cries as Dana gets her bearings and comes back fighting, except she's not really fighting, more like keeping Puck at arm's length so neither of them get hurt. Puck doesn't understand it's because of the baby until Dana's ( ... )
