But then, you know, there've been children to care for and babysitters to think about hiring and drinks to drink and it's funny how few hours there are in a day, so really it shouldn't be too surprising that it's only now that Puck shows up outside Havelock's room and raps smartly

Havelock is, stunningly, not training or reading a book. He has a notebook out, and is idly sketching in the details of a rough diagram of a building, as approximately to scale as he can manage without a set square.
What, you expected still life?

The sketching is eyed with a mixture of appraisal and amusement.
"Busy?"

No, he isn't.
He frowns slightly at the paper, and rubs out a stray line.
"You?"
