this morning all i had left was anger, disappointment, and a faint glimmer of hope. by 11:30 the glimmer was put out when i heard that john kerry gave up ohio. and now, after a day of what seems like the worst possible outcome, all i think i'm left with is the disappointment ( Read more... )

My friend volunteered at the polls in Bucks County. She still wasn't home by like, 10 p.m.

This democracy has always been founded on the idea that someone has to protect the minority from the tyranny of the majority. And why SHOULD people have a say in something that has absolutely nothing to do with, or effect on, them?

amen to cabell's comment. We just discussed this in english class and how its going back to post civil war when the fight against a "black monster" was at its height. its the same situation pretty much. I guess we can only hope that the majority of people will smarten up just like they did then...although hopefully it will take a lot short time and with less violence.

And damn to the people who said they didn't care about voting during this election because both canidates were horrible and they are waiting to vote when they actually fully like a canadate...because people, you'll always be voting between a giant douche and a turd sandwich
