This is true...if we are to honor our kinship in furry and such, we must respect the longstanding traditions of what has become a sub-society. Which means a quasi-lame adaptation with the words fur, paw, mrrr or other such things awkwardly placed into a word.

What you refer to is something the sci-fi cons have done for awhile, it's called a "Relaxacon". There's little programming, no GoH, just people getting together and hanging out at a hotel for a weekend.

And yes, they're awesome.
