Huh, well, this is new.

I wonder where Lina is...

For that matter, what's a Yggdrasil?

Can you eat it?

If you're looking for Lina Inverse, last I checked she was in the Burgemon Village.

I'm Kira Ford. Nice to meet you.

Hehe, nice to meet you too Gourry.

Here, I'll give you data for Tetha since that's where most new tamers go once they're done finding their way to their friends. It's basically the biggest city for people like you and Lina.

/Attached: Tetha Data

Just hold your D-Comm up to a lightpost and it'll send you there.

Hello, Gourry.

Lina's around here somewhere. I expect she'll show up soon.

And Yggrasil appears to be this world's equivalent of the Lord of Nightmares. So, it is definitely not something you can eat.

Where are you, and are you with any one?

Oh, Zelgadis! Great to see you again!

Yeah, she's out there at Burgermon village, trying to get a head start... She probably woke up before I did and followed the smell of food...

... Aw. Man, I'm hungry.

I'm... not sure. I've got the map here and it says I'm near Burgermon village. I was alone when I woke up, though. Except for some little kid running at me with a wooden sword, I knocked him out and put him on the side of the road under a blanket. I hope his mom isn't mad at me...

Gourry are you sure that was a kid? It could have been one of the locals.

Well of course he's a local. I wouldn't think that someone would just leave their kid out on the road...

GOURRY! I was wondering where the hell you went, jellyfish brains! And here I was, just about to go try and track your butt down...

...

Before I try to answer your question, do you remember who Shabringdo, Cephied, and the Lord of Nightmares are?

I'm kind of impressed you PRONOUNCED it right, though.

The primer in that kid's post helped!

And... um... those names sound familiar. Zelgadis mentioned the Lord of Nightmares too... Should I know them?

... But that's not important! You ditched me to get all the food to yourself, didn't you?!

(OOC: No, he hasn't come from a point where he doesn't know them... he's just Gourry.)

(ooc - As I expected. >P )

...right. Of course not.

Shabrinigdo and Cephied, in our world, are effectively the representations of ultimate evil and ultimate good, respectively. From researching everything on this "D-Comm" thingy (I HAVE been productive these past couple days, thank you), Diablomon, Omegamon, and their respective armies seem like rough but basic equivalents to them, the Mazoku, and the Dragons in OUR world.

Speak up if I'm going to fast for you.

Whereas Yggdrasil, as creator of both, AND this world itself, is basically a counterpart of the Lord of Nightmares. Who is the creator of OUR world (mother of all things, King of Darkness who shines like gold, source of all chaos, Lord of the Dreams that terrify, source of my power for the Ragna Blade and Giga Slave etc, etc.).

The monkey wrench to it all is the Seven Great Demon Kings, who seem to be outside ALL of that, unlike, say, the five higher Mazoku created by Shabrinigdo.

That's the easiest way to explain it all.

Though I'm hoping it just didn't end up ( ... )

Hmmm... Nope, not ringing any bells. Sounds familiar, but I guess it's just beyond me.

But your explanation left out one important thing, Lina...
