Wonderful pictures! I love the "Golden Rasputin Gate" and the green pilaster room's my favorite also. As well as the green dining room.

The huge masonry heater looks like being made of delft ware. Do you know what the tiles actually are?

On my firefox most of the pictures look a little bit disproportionally lenghtened while a few of them seem to be broadened. Is that due to my browser? If it's your cam I surely need you to take a picture of me in the lengthening version for it will make me appear less fat. ;)

Have to make haste now to catch the train to Moscow...

Actually, I think they ARE delft ware.

The broadening and widening has to do with photobucket in combination with livejournal. It was the same with the Mexico pictures. Although I told livejournal to lock the proportions, somehow this is what it does when I minimize the pics. Well, you get an impression, for exact proportions you will have to travel there. :)

He did have a sense of humour didn't he? *LOL* Love the spitting roses......tulips....no roses. I prefer his Perterhof also, more cosy. What beautiful colours in 'Finland at the horizon.'
