I have only just returned from my trip to Austria, followed by two days in Lörrach where I had the great privilige of seeing Leonard Cohen on stage. I was very, very lucky in everything that day and now that I have seen the living legend live I wish to thank

I'm pleased you had such a wonderful experience. Only 5000 wow, and you were in the front row!!! Even though there were SO MANY when I saw him, he seems to have that rare ability to create intimacy, therefore it FELT special. It must have felt very special for you when he smiled at you.......he is a remarkable man. And I think you are right, It's not just for the money......he does enjoy and appreciate being there and being able to bring people together to enjoy his work.

Strangely, it was not so special at all when he smiled at me. Just normal - as if the smile was directed at me as the audience rather than at me as a person.
I am glad you had a similar experience at your concert. Yes, intimacy is created and I guess that can be managed up to the last row. And I hope I will be able to keep the happiness of the night for a while. It surely was good for the mood ;)

Ok, now I'm going to go to the concert twice in October - Munich and Hamburg! :-)

Ohhhhhh, thank you for your report - and I'm soooo happy for you that you could be so close to him and had such an enjoyable concert!

I especially loved the almost private soundcheck - that was unique, indeed! After a morning at school plus 6 hours' train- and plane-travel I'll arrive just in time for the concert ... so thanks for your second-hand experience. Now I love him even more - if that's possible!

Yes, must have been the sun-lotion ;-).

Will he be in Frankfurt? When? That's really close to Nuremberg so I might go there, too! I hadn't checked the other concerts as I'm going to go to Hamburg with Ispellit.

I love him even more now, too. And yes, it is possible. You will see, when you experience the concert in Hamburg. At least I hope it will be as enjoyable.

He will be in Frankfurt 29th October. But that concert is not confirmed yet. However, tickets are sold already and it seems there are none in the first 12 rows left :( Meeting you in Frankfurt for the concert would be great. :) It's the middle of the week though...

Well done! Hope you will really like it... If not - what a waste of money *lol*

Yeah, what a waste. *LOL* Singing: "There's no chocolates in the boxes anymore... there's no diamonds in the mine."

I can't wait! And husband keeps playing Leonard Cohen endlessly... (he's also started to defend Alan Rickman, btw., when I said he looked tousled in an inteview... *LOL*)

Munich is on a Monday, too, but it's only 2.5 hours to get there by car (by train it would be quicker, but there will be no train after 10 pm - useless.).

Sorry for not getting tickets for Frankfurt, but we can meet nevertheless, can't we?

Aaah, I love Diamonds in the Mine - it's so beautifully insane ;)

What's wrong with your husband? Did he get infected by the fandom virus?

No problem. Frankfurt is quite far. I only bought tickets today. That one sells out so quickly - only row 15 :( But better than nothing. And it is not even confirmed yet. Tssss.
