I tried to follow her advice about getting them to not need to nurse to sleep: she says to pop them off the nipple when they are drowsy but awake. I get J down whichever way is most peaceful (read: easiest) for him and then transfer him. He hasn't been sleeping as well in the carrier either so if he falls asleep there, I put him in the crib or our bed. He isn't going down as easily in the carrier either so I am taking that to mean that he isn't my little infant anymore and the chest to chest thing simply isn't the soother it was when he was brand new.

I just feel like I'm failing him every time I try something that doesn't work out and he ends up in a bad mood. Not to mention wanting to pull my hair out when I look behind me and see a trail of unfinished tasks due to his waking up sooner than I hoped.
