I really haven't had the time to say much here, and I don't have much to say either since I never write about any real problems I have in my life. I keep all matters on here trivial for various reasons. So, though no one on here will understand this question I will pose it anyway just to let loose some bottled-up feelings ( Read more... )

you're right for quitting your job.

you should be making a LOT more than that for 3 years of service, for certain. and I know from working seasonally at hot topic a few times that I walked in that store as an employee when I was on hours, and a customer when I wasn't. I was treated as such in each instance, and I would gladly go work for that store again if I lived closer and needed the money or whatever...

sounds like you've put up w/their crap for too long already. 'd give them 2 weeks, and find a job that will appreciate you for what you can do.

"Could this month possibly get any worse?"

No, not that I'm aware of, it's the worst month of my life right now, or so it seems to be. *hugs* to you, sorry you have to go thru all that, actually I'm sorry anyone has to go thru any bad things!

Things can always get worse. Lots lots worse, so don't tempt fate!

That said, I would never wish fabric store employment upon anyone. That you've worked there that long is a testament to your fortitude.

I think you're entirely right to move on to new and better prospects.

PS. At my last gig I found out a really new hire got paid lots moer than me, and that pretty much was the end of that.

i think you're completely right about how Hancock is treating you as an employee and a customer. you've got a lot of knowledge, experience, talent, and enthusiasm. you deserve someone who will appreciate that! i know it sucks considering the amount of time you've invested there, but it sounds like leaving would make you happier in the long run. i wish the best for you, whatever you decide to do =)
