I beg you...cheer me up.

Money...gah. Why is there never enough? And I’m not asking for a lot, just enough to cover the basic living necessities. Is that too much to ask? I’m sick of all the collection calls. How many times do you have to tell them you don’t have any money and you don’t know when you will? Get a lawyer, take me to court; I still do not have the money. I’m ( Read more... )

Thanks for the thought...I also wish there was something ridiculously awesome that would make it all go away! Like...oh, I know! Money! :)

Yeah, that what I thought. The only good thing that comes out of phone calls like that is the fact that I say things I wouldn't otherwise. Like to that guy...I asked him what happened to the guy who originally had our case and he said he was no longer working there. Pity, I said, he was a lot nicer than you are. :) I was proud of myself. Small victories, but I'll take what I can get.

The same lady that told me to get a job also "suggested" that we just sell the house. Life must be so simple in the la la land of collection callers...

Thanks for the links. I needed a laugh. The "silly cats" one was the best! Nick was in hysterics watching it. He wanted me to keep replaying it. :)

Just sell the house. It'll be easy. Then you'll have ALL the money you need.
To pay rent.
Stupid people.

Yes. Very helpful. Perhaps she'd like to take my starving family in when we're denied rent because of my bad credit score... :)

What is the work you are in? That's depressing.
I hate that crap. I had to file bankruptcy a few years ago. well, we did chapter 13 a few years back and this year we refiled as chapter 7 :(

All in all though, it's left us better off.

Hope things turn around.

Oh and... a termite walks into a bar and askes "Hey, is the bar tender here?"

wait for it... wait for it... LOL?

I don't have anything to cheer you up... we just watched Sicko, and so, even though we're relatively healthy right now, we will almost surely be in exactly the same spot once we have some minor health problem.

The whole system is bullshit.

I don't know why single-payer is so taboo as a subject, it's like completely off the table of public debate. :/

Healthcare is a joke. Medical bills are what caused our Bankruptcy 2 years ago, and the few things we've had since then have been so outrageously expensive that it's slowly getting back into that really bad spot. Darrin had a 45 minute ER visit last year that exceeded $2000.00. And the Sam's first run of immunizations were over $600.

For a very short while we had medical insurance. Our premium was nearly $600 a month with a $4800.00 deductible. Who can afford that?

There has to be a better solution.

And I really hope neither you or Carrie end up with any kind of medical issue, minor or otherwise!

I broke a finger about two years ago and the whole unpleasant affair ended up costing me over two grand.

A finger bone cost me a large percentage of my yearly income.

I should've splinted it myself.

The health care system, more than any other thing, makes me think that living in the USA is bad for me.

Also, you'd think that frikkin' firemen would get special snazzy health insurance or something.
