I especially love the blooming linaria. Delicate, yet bravely holding heads aloft.

The little pots on the sticks. :)

I was mystified by the little pots on sticks, but I googled it, and it's for safety so that people don't injure themselves on the pointy sticks.

That's a good reason. But then why are the sticks there?

To tie string to, maybe, so that the gardener can sew seeds in a neat row?
